Sippy Lid Madness?
Go to the Dollar Tree and get a couple stackable organizers and store your lids in those. If your shelves are taller than mine you can stack smaller ones to separate them even better. This makes drink prep a cinch in the mornings!
Utilize Under Bathroom Sink with No Vanity
Don't waste possible storage space because it will be seen. Hide it with a sink skirt then staple the rough edge of velcro to the sink base (if wood) or glue it if porcelain. Then sew the soft side of the velcro to the back of the skirt and it makes for easy removal to wash. If you have a pedestal sink, you can purchase an organizer that surrounds the base to hide your essentials then cover with skirt. The best part is that the possibilities are endless with fabric choice. You can even make a shower curtain to match!
Tie Spinner
No more wasted space on hangers or bulky tie racks. For $2 on Amazon you can score a tie spinner making mornings easier with selection and less ironing!
Hair Care Outta There!
Get a cheap wine rack and anchor it to the wall to hold all of your hair care instruments and product to save room on your sink top.
Organizing Meals in Advance & Saving Money
My husband was complaining about those frozen lunches we all have centered our busy lives around. Not only are they not that appealing, but they are loaded with sodium and artificial preservatives, and let's face it......you get sick of them quick! The best way to prepare meals in advance is to make dinners in bulk and place leftovers in containers (I found 3 for $1 at the Dollar Tree). The trick to preservation is to let it cool at room temperature, then cover with Glad Press N Seal, allowing for minimal air between the food and the lid. Then put the lid and label on and place in fridge overnight. This allows for the food to be cold when you freeze it and minimizes moisture that leads to freezer burn. Not only are these healthy and so much cheaper, but I know what is in these meals.....not fillers, preservatives or artificial nonsense!
