Organizing Meals in Advance & Saving Money

My husband was complaining about those frozen lunches we all have centered our busy lives around. Not only are they not that appealing, but they are loaded with sodium and artificial preservatives, and let's face it......you get sick of them quick!  The best way to prepare meals in advance is to make dinners in bulk and place leftovers in containers (I found 3 for $1 at the Dollar Tree). The trick to preservation is to let it cool at room temperature, then cover with Glad Press N Seal, allowing for minimal air between the food and the lid. Then put the lid and label on and place in fridge overnight. This allows for the food to be cold when you freeze it and minimizes moisture that leads to freezer burn. Not only are these healthy and so much cheaper, but I know what is in these meals.....not fillers, preservatives or artificial nonsense!
